We began with a simple belief: the best journeys do more than take you somewhere new. They change the way you see everywhere else.
Cedar Hollow is not a hotel chain, and it is not a list of places to sleep. It is a small, carefully kept collection of woodland destinations, each with its own character, its own craft, and its own story worth travelling for. In Oxford, a wood where wonder is taken seriously. In Dorset, treehouses raised by hand among ancient oaks. And in time, new chapters, added slowly, and only when they deserve to be told.

Timber joined by hand. Buildings that belong to their trees. Our Dorset woodland has been a place of making for over fifteen years, and it shows in every surface that rewards a second look.
Woodland that restores, protects and reconnects.
Bees kept and honey drawn cold from the comb. Bats counted on summer evenings. Bluebells left exactly where they are. The woods are the point; everything else is a way of paying attention to them.

An illusion trail winds between the trees, and the resident magicians, Members of The Magic Circle, appear when least expected. Magic here is not a show you attend; it is something the wood does.
Three RIBA award-winning treehouses, each one a self-contained nest for two, with a copper bath or a treetop sauna, a wood-fired oven, and an ancient oak through the middle of it all.
A working apiary and a small bee museum sit at the heart of the Oxford wood. Guests meet the bees with our beekeeper, and the honey travels no further than the breakfast table.
Saunas that look into the canopy, hot tubs under the stars, copper baths beside ancient bark. Slowness is the one amenity every Cedar Hollow destination shares.
